WellCare Health Plans, Inc. is making changes to the list of preferred brands of insulin.

Effective Jan. 1, 2010, Eli Lilly brand insulin products (Humalog and Humulin) will no longer be covered for members.

The Novo Nordisk (Novolog and Novolin) insulin products will become the preferred insulin products.

Please download the attached notice for more details and for information on how to address instances when clinical reasons dictate the continuation of a non-preferred agent.
