It has been brought to our attention that the explanation of payment (EOP) notices for specific dual members are not being displayed with the correct payment language description. Please be advised that, per regulatory requirements, WellCare members in dual plans that are cost-shared protected cannot be balance billed for Medicare Part A and Part B services. If a co-insurance, deductible or co-pay amount is displayed for a dual member, they cannot be held responsible for the remaining balance. Providers have the option to bill the state for the balance due. For any questions or concerns, please contact the health plan at 1-866-334-7730.
