The WellCare of Georgia Medicaid HEDIS^® Quick Reference Guide (attached) is a tool to assist providers with the proper coding, in compliance with the HEDIS 2010, Volume 2 Technical Specifications, for the measures contained within this document.  

The Medicaid HEDIS^® Quick Reference Guide is not a substitution for the HCPCS, ICD-9-CM or AMA CPT® Coding Manuals. Providers must follow correct Coding Guidelines. ICD-9-CM codes must be coded to the highest level of specificity. 

Reimbursement for the services outlined in the Medicaid HEDIS^® Quick Reference Guide will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of your agreement.
